Company History

P&C Insurance grew out of an insurance company founded in Biddeford in 1885 and has since grown into one of the largest, independent, full-service insurance agencies in southern Maine, offering home, auto and business insurance as well as employee benefits.

In 2008 two local banks, Saco and Biddeford Savings Institution and Biddeford Savings Bank, joined together to purchase the firm to ensure that the Biddeford/Saco community continued to have access to a locally owned and managed insurance agency.

This unique partnership has played an integral role in our growth. In 2011, we changed our name from Paquin & Carroll Insurance to P&C Insurance.

In June of 2011, P&C Insurance acquired Ruben Insurance, a Biddeford firm that was founded in 1955. We have offices in Biddeford, Kennebunk, South Berwick, and Westbrook to serve you.
